Why most LinkedIn outreach never becomes a meeting
Plenty of people send connection requests. Few turn them into sales calls. The gap is usually in three places:
- The wrong list. Messages go to anyone with a vaguely relevant title, not to people who can buy.
- The pitch comes too early. The first message after connecting is a wall of text about the product.
- No follow-up. Most replies come after the second or third touch, and most people stop after one.
Appointment setting fixes all three. It's a process, run every day, that moves people from "connected" to "booked".
Our appointment setting process
1. Define who you want to meet
We agree on job titles, seniority, company size, industry and location, plus who to exclude. This becomes the definition of a qualified call.
2. Build and clean the target list
We search LinkedIn for people who match, check their profiles are active, and remove anyone who doesn't fit.
3. Connect with a reason
Connection requests are short and specific to the person: their role, their company, something they posted. No pitch in the request.
4. Start a real conversation
After they accept, we open with a relevant question or observation, not a sales pitch. The goal of the first messages is a reply, not a meeting.
5. Follow up, handle replies, book the call
We follow up on a set cadence, answer questions, and when someone is interested, we offer times and book them straight into your calendar with a short note on who they are and what they want to talk about.
6. Learn from what closes
You tell us which calls turned into clients. We use that to sharpen the targeting and the messaging, so the calls keep getting better.
In-house SDR vs. appointment setting service
| Hire an SDR | Regular Worker | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to start | Weeks to hire and ramp | Starts after the tech setup |
| Cost | Salary, tools and management, every month | $250 per booked call + one-time setup |
| If results are slow | You still pay salary | You pay for fewer calls |
| Your time | Training and managing | Under an hour a week |
What you get on every booked call
- The prospect's name, role, company and LinkedIn profile.
- The conversation so far, so you know why they booked.
- A calendar invite at a confirmed time.
You walk into each call knowing who you're talking to and what they care about.
